Specific Information

Description: The 16B1 antibody reacts with human CD144, also known as VE-cadherin and cadherin-5. The cadherin family of receptors, which are calcium-dependent adhesion molecules, is known to be involved in homophilic cell interactions. VE-cadherin, which is 140 kDa, is localized at the intercellular boundaries of endothelial cells in blood and lymphatic vessels in several tissues. It is thought to play a role in vascular permeability and remodeling.

Applications Reported: This 16B1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested: This 16B1 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC). This can be used at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test.

Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 519 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
